2000 Ford Windstar-Front end chatters when applying brakes. Have installed all new parts front & back???

Front end chatters, acts as if the roters are warped real bad, but i have replaced roters, calipers and pads on the front. New drums and shoes on the back. New ABS system pump. 7,000 miles on new set of tires just rotated and balanced. New speed sensor also.

I dunno if you had a shop do the work or you did it yourself. I've seen pads %26amp; misc. parts installed wrong on disc %26amp; drum brakes. Maybe a good inspection. ( ? ) Good Luck
Reply:Take it back who did the work%26gt;%26gt;........something is wrong...maybe ball joint or tie rods too.Did it do it right after and before installing these parts?
Reply:Well,If you intalled the rotors on the front right from the box, that's the problem-If you read on the box that the rotors come in you will find on all of them the words:DO NOT STORE FLAT. But if you look at the shelves at the auto parts store, that's exactly how they do store them! weight from the ones on the top of the stack will gradually warp the ones on the bottom-in my shop we resurface EVERY ROTOR that we install-and thay are always warped beforehand!. Pull the rotors off and have them resurfaced-trust me! also make sure the wheel/rotor contact surfaces are clean and torque the wheels to factory specs. this should clear up this very common problem...the rear brakes must also be adjusted properly to ensure proper distribution of force between front and rear.out of adjustment rear brakes put alot of strain on the front brakes and can overheat them-that's what causes the to "warp"-actually the prob is parralellism, but that's a whole chapter its self-just have them resurfaced- speed sensor is not a factor here-abs pump is not a factor either as a malfunction here disables the abs anyway-no amber abs light? don't mess with that system. you may see spots on the rotors that look different than the rest of the rotor-not color, but will literally look like bright shiny small spots. these rotors need to be replaced, these spots won't come out.they will also cause shaking brakes. they are called "hot spots".hope this helps-message back if any questions and I will respond. willoroy@yahoo.com
Reply:not know to a consumer is that even brand new brake rotors and drums can be out of round. my neighbor just went thru that with his dodge product. have the brake and rotor checked for runout and also checks the wheels. 1 pothole can make a wheel run out of round
Reply:Probably the module of the abs pump is bad, or a bad wheel sensor
Reply:if you have high mileage vehical,it could be a number of things wrong, especially if it is front wheel drive.if you have racket-pinion steering, worn struts or broken, wheel bearing bad, stabiliser arm bushing worn, but, hey if you want to try to solve problem, maybe i can help.my name is Alan,email,ctymol@yahoo,com maybe we can find prob,OK?i do all the work on my cars,so if you like email me,we'll see what we can do. good luck.
Reply:if you throw enough parts at it you will have a new one lol. go ahead and change the headlamps that way you can see wtf you are doing.lol
