How do i fix a velcro shoe strap?

my daughter's shoe strap keeps coming undone. i tried cleaning it, picking out all the fuzz, it still doesn't stick. the fuzzy part is a little worn and the fibers are kinda loose, like sticking out of it all hairy like. a little help please. these shoes are fairly new, she just won't stay out of puddles!

How do i fix a velcro shoe strap?
can you snip the top layer off alittle bit so the velcro will stick again just enough to take all the hair and the other junk off and maybe it will stick again.
Reply:errmm, the velcro should be sewn on so i would recommend buying some new velcro, which you can get from sewing shops and material shops, cutting the old velcro off (only by cutting the little stitches holding it on) and cutting the new piece to the right size and shape and re sweing it on...Thats all i can really think of...sorry!
