it isn't dark yellow, it's just a light-ish yellow. Will polish work? Basically, i just wanna lightly color the shoe w/out messing up the small lace-thingys next to the stain bcuz it is on the nike swoosh and there are thread stuff around it.

Yeah, you're probably going to have to use the white polish with the sponge tip applicator. Make sure you let them dry thoroughly. I used to use this all the time to help keep my white tennis shoes looking new.
